Signs That Keep Us Safe

1The lights are broken. Point to who decides now.

Read aloud: At this corner there is a sign for cars and a sign for people on foot. Point to the one that is for the people walking.

3Hot pan, wet floor, sharp edge. Point to the one sign.

Read aloud: Three different dangers all need the same kind of sign: be careful here. Point to that sign.

4No entry and no grown-up. Point to what you do.

Read aloud: There is a no entry sign on the door and no grown-up is watching. Point to the thing that decides what you do.

5Only a grown-up may use it. Point to that red thing.

Read aloud: One red thing on the wall is only ever for grown-ups to use. Point to it.

6A new sign for the pond gate. Point to the right one.

Read aloud: The gate to the pond has to be shut to everybody unless a grown-up is there. Point to the sign that says that best.
