About this worksheet

A year is far too long for a preschooler to hold in their head, so this page makes it something they can see all at once. The seasons run left to right as four pictures that keep coming round: a flower for spring, the sun for summer, a fallen leaf for fall, a snowflake for winter. One picture is missing and your child points to the one that belongs. Other questions ask what happens next in the real world. Acorns are dropping and the leaves are turning, so what falls next? The tree is bare and the days are cold, so what comes after that? Winter is ending, so what is the first thing to come back? Nothing is read and nothing is written. Talk about your own place as you go, because a season looks different in different towns even though the order never changes.
