About this worksheet
Sight words appear so often that children benefit from recognizing their spellings quickly, even when every part cannot yet be sounded out. A glance at the first letter is not enough: words such as he, here, and have need attention all the way across. Each question on this page places one useful word in a short sentence and asks the child to choose its exact spelling from realistic near misses. Empty letter boxes show the word's length but do not reveal its letters. Support pages use very short words, standard pages add common sentence words, and challenge pages require longer visual patterns. Watch whether your child checks every letter or picks the first option that begins correctly. Pointing once beneath each letter builds a more complete memory. After choosing, have the child spell the word aloud and read the whole sentence so meaning and print stay connected.
