Kindergarten Math Worksheet

Circle the heavier one.

Weight is one of the first things a child measures with their hands: a pillow is light, a brick is heavy, and a bag of apples is somewhere in between. This worksheet turns that feeling into a picture task. Each item shows two things that are very different in weight, such as an elephant and a feather, and the child circles the one that is heavier, or the one that is lighter. A whole sheet asks for one word only, and the version decides which: odd versions ask for heavier, even versions ask for lighter.
The pairs are chosen so that the answer is clear without any scale. Ask your child how they know: big animals and machines are heavy, and small, soft or airy things are light. Later, children compare two things that are closer in weight by holding one in each hand.

The pictures show a bus and a leaf. The bus is much heavier than a leaf, so circle the bus.
