About this worksheet

A beginning blend contains consonant sounds that sit next to each other while each can still be heard. Kindergartners often record only the louder sound, turning flag into fag or stop into sop. This worksheet teaches children to slow down at the beginning and give every sound its own letter box. Support practice uses familiar two-letter blends.
