Putting numbers in order from least to greatest builds on comparing two numbers: the child finds the smallest, then the next, then the largest. It makes children think about the tens first and the ones second, and it gets them ready for number lines, skip counting and later for rounding. On this grade 1 worksheet each line gives three numbers in a mixed-up order, and your child writes them in order, smallest first, with a comma between each.
Support sheets use numbers from 10 to 50, standard sheets go up to 99, and challenge sheets include numbers with the same tens. Spot the smallest first, cross it off in your head, then the next.
