About this worksheet
Money, time, and shapes are often grouped because they are practical skills, but each one asks children to attend to different details. Coins must be counted by value rather than by how many coins there are. Analog clocks require reading the hour hand and minute hand together. Shapes should be named by attributes such as sides and corners, not by which way the picture is turned. This mixed worksheet rotates through those three skills so a child cannot rely on one routine for the whole page. The visuals are included only where they carry the question: clocks for time, coins for value, and shape models for geometry. Watch for coin-counting by ones and shape names chosen from appearance rather than attributes.
What your child will learn
Count common coin values
Read analog clocks to the hour and half hour
Name shapes by sides and corners
Connect practical math models to written answers
Worked example
A quarter, dime, and nickel are worth 25 + 10 + 5, or 40 cents. Count by value, not by three coins.
Common mistake
Counting three coins as 3 cents instead of adding each coin's value.
Helpful hint
For coins, count by value. For clocks, read the short hand first.
