Division facts are the multiplication facts turned around, and a fourth grader needs them before long division. Each sheet has 24 bare facts such as 56 ÷ 7 = ____, and your child writes the quotient on the line. Building Confidence uses divisors up to 6, On Level uses facts to 10 × 10, and Challenge Me reaches 12 × 12.
What your child will learn
Recall division facts to 12 × 12
Use a multiplication fact to divide
Write the quotient, not a guess
Common Core standard: 4.NBT.B.6
Worked example
56 ÷ 7 = 8, because 7 × 8 = 56.
Common mistake
Dividing the wrong way round, so 56 ÷ 7 becomes 7 ÷ 56.
