Kindergarten Reading Worksheet

Draw a line from each capital letter to its small letter.

Every letter has two forms, a capital and a small one, and they do not always look alike. A capital B and a small b are easy to match, but a capital G and a small g, or a capital Q and a small q, take practice. On this page the capital letters stand in a column on the left and the small letters stand in a column on the right, in a different order, and the child draws a line from each capital to its small letter.
Each sheet covers six letters, and the six sheets together cover the whole alphabet. One sheet is a review of letters that are easy to mix up, such as b and d, or p and q. Say each letter name out loud before drawing the line. Support sheets use four letters, standard sheets five, and challenge sheets six.
Common Core standard: RF.K.1.D
Find the capital D on the left. The small d is the letter that stands for the same sound and name, so draw a line from D to d.
Matching b to d or p to q, because the small letters are mirror images of each other.
Say the name of the capital letter, then say the name of each small letter.
