Light and sound are different forms of energy that children can investigate with simple observations. Sound is made when matter vibrates, and changing a vibration can change what we hear. We see an object when light reaches it and then reaches our eyes. Materials may let most light through, some light through, or almost none through. This worksheet rotates among vibration evidence, light-source reasoning, material tests, and communication uses so it does not collapse two broad ideas into one repeated question. Support items use bells, drums, lamps, and clear or opaque materials. Challenge items ask students to choose a fair test or infer what changed from evidence. No decorative sound-wave or lamp picture is used because the current visual contract has no exact renderer for those investigations.
