Q is the letter this group has to get right. Q almost never works alone in English: it travels with U, and the pair says /kw/, which is two sounds run together. A worksheet that keys queen to a single Q sound is teaching something untrue, and a child who answers K is hearing the word correctly. So the questions here ask which picture starts with the LETTER Q, and the grown-up's line supplies the honest version of the sound. The rest of the group is easier ground. P and T are quick sounds that stop as soon as they start, while S and R can be held for as long as a breath lasts, and that contrast is worth pointing out: some sounds you can sing and some you cannot.
