Dividing by 10 takes one zero away from a number that ends in zero, and dividing by 100 takes two. Each sheet has twenty bare problems, ten divided by 10 and ten divided by 100, and your child writes the quotient on the line. The numbers grow from two digits to five as the level goes up.

Common Core standard: 4.NBT.B.6
Worked example
870 ÷ 10 = 87 and 4,500 ÷ 100 = 45.
Common mistake
Removing the wrong number of zeros, for example taking two zeros away when dividing by 10.
Helpful hint
Dividing by 10 moves every digit one place to the right; dividing by 100 moves it two.
