About this worksheet
Area and perimeter are often confused because both describe rectangles and both use measurements. Area counts square units covering the inside of a shape, while perimeter measures the distance around the outside. Third graders may multiply when the question asks for the border, or add all sides when the question asks for covering space. This worksheet keeps the distinction visible.
